Health management is crucial to survival in Animon battles.

Taking Damage

When hit by an attack:

  1. Roll the attacker's attack roll
  2. If success, damage is calculated: Attack Power - Defense
  3. Subtract this from your current HP
  4. If HP reaches 0, your Animon faints

Defense Mechanics

  • Higher defense stats reduce incoming damage
  • Defensive abilities can increase defense further
  • Type advantages grant defense bonuses
  • Armor and held items provide defense bonuses

Healing

Restore HP through:

  • Items: Potions and healing items
  • Moves: Special healing moves
  • Rest: Full healing between battle sessions
  • Abilities: Some Animon can heal themselves or allies

Status Conditions

Conditions like Poison, Burn, Paralysis can reduce effectiveness:

  • Each condition has specific effects
  • Some reduce damage output, others reduce speed
  • Healing items or moves can cure conditions
  • Rest between battles clears most conditions
